In particular in the ice cream sector this aspect is especially important, reducing the number of times of manual operator interference (that is, the temperature would have to be manually controlled, according to the temperature variations of the environment where the equipment is placed to minimize the impact on the preserved products).

 

This means that with this new digital temperature controller, an optimal temperature range can be set for either the highest or lowest temperature at once. HOW DOES A DIGITAL TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER WORK?

 

The equipment receives an input from a temperature sensor and has an output connected to a device such as a heater or fans in our homes.

Although temperature control implies the existence of the ability to add or remove heat to ensure the expected control, a well-dimensioned and supplied cycle can result endothermic, that is, the process incorporates heat into the product, dispensing with cooling. Namely: heat does not only translate into temperature variations: changes in physical state (liquefaction and solidification), common in thermoplastic transformation, for example, make it possible to cool the process.

When the use of temperature control becomes essential, it means that the process is affected when the ambient temperature varies. This, in turn, varies according to location and season of the year, reaching extremes, which, associated with the concepts of thermal sensation, can normally be located between -30 and 50°C.

 

 

DIGITAL Temperature Controller

Processes associated with temperature generally have slower reactions, unlike processes involving, for example, pressurization, which involve, for example, sudden propagations. The supply of thermal energy must be gradual, in order to avoid incineration and unwanted accidents.

To more accurate control of the temperature of a given process without major operator interference, a control system relies on a temperature controller connected to a sensor.

It compares the actual temperature to the desired control temperature, or set point, and provides an output to the control element. The controller consists of only a part of the system, but the entire system must be analyzed when selecting the proper controller.

 

 

The ON/OFF control is used when precision control is not required, in the following cases:

– on systems that are not frequently switched on and off;

 – where the mass of a given system is so great that temperatures change slowly;

 – or even when used in conjunction with a temperature alarm.
